Has Birnamwood received any awards or recognitions?: Birnamwood has been a member of Audubon International since 1999 and became certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2002. Birnamwood is the smallest golf course in the world and the only nine-hole course in the State of Minnesota to receive this designation. The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program helps golf courses enhance wildlife and the game of golf.

1. How old do children need to be to golf?: Children 4 and under are not permitted on the golf course.
Children 5-9 may play golf when accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
Children 10 and up may golf without adult supervision.

2. Is there a driving range?: No, there is not a driving range. However, for just a few more dollars than it costs for a bucket of balls, you can play an entire round of golf at Birnamwood.

3. Are there discounted rates?: Yes. Discounted rates are offered for junior and senior golfers. There is also an "early bird" (early morning) discount rate.

4. Are annual passes available?: Yes. Annual passes can be purchased and provide unlimited golf for the entire season. Ten and 20 round passes are also available.

5. Are golf carts available for rental?: Yes, we have driving carts for an additional fee. You must be 18 years of age or older to rent and operate a cart.

6. When was Birnamwood built?: Birnamwood Golf Course was built in 1968 and was acquired by the City of Burnsville in the fall of 1988.

8. What is the course description?: Birnamwood Golf Course is a nine-hole, par 27 golf course. It is located near the intersection of Burnsville Parkway and Parkwood Drive. The course is 1,258 yards long and water comes into play on two holes.

9. Does Birnamwood offer leagues?: There is a league for everyone at Birnamwood. No matter what your age, gender or skill level we have a league that will fit you. All leagues are on a first-come first-serve basis. No preference is given to league participants from the prior year which gives everyone a chance to join. Leagues are held in both the summer and the fall.
