Night to Unite

2021 Night to Unite | Tuesday, Aug. 3Night to Unite

Night to Unite (known as National Night Out in some communities) is held annually on the first Tuesday in August.

The event is a chance to strengthen neighborhood spirit and City-community partnerships. It can also heighten awareness around crime, drug and violence prevention; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs; and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Party Registration

Party registration will be open in June. The registration deadline will be Friday, July 23.

We understand that although in-person events are allowed this year, there may be some neighborhoods that aren't comfortable with holding a traditional Night to Unite party. Registered parties can choose to:

  • Forego a visit from the City this year and instead pick-up premade community bags to distribute throughout their neighborhood
  • Or can request a visit from a Burnsville Police, Fire, City staff member or elected official on the online registration form
