The City of Burnsville has been reviewing and evaluating all park amenities over the last three years. Staff looked at location, relevance of each park feature, opportunities to reduce maintenance, improvement of the natural landscape and 2020 Parks and Recreation trends were considered during review. The Burnsville Parks Frameworks Plan was developed using this information to guide changes in the Parks system to better serve future generations. This project is expected to reduce maintenance costs, eliminate the replacement of less used amenities, and improve the health of our parks natural resources once completed. 2020 work will begin in spring. | and Comments |
