As news of COVID-19 progresses rapidly across the country and in Minnesota, City of Burnsville has been working collaboratively to monitor the quickly changing situation. The City places a high value on providing quality service to the public, but as the pandemic continues we have decided to make operational changes.
We will continue to update this page as additional information becomes available about how the City of Burnsville is working with our local partners and employees to protect the health of our community.
Please browse our website if you have questions -- much of the information the public needs about City services can be found online. You can also contact City staff directly. View our staff directory for more information. Staff will continue working to provide public service as quickly and effectively as possible via phone and email.
Minnesota Mask Guidelines
Beginning July 25, Minnesotans over the age of 5 must wear a face mask in indoor business and in indoor public spaces. This includes all City facilities.

City Hall is Now Open to the Public
Here are a few things to keep in mind before your next trip to City Hall:
- While the doors are open for walk-ins, please make an appointment to meet with staff whenever possible so we can ensure someone will be around to meet you
- Our employees are still available via email and phone for those who wish to continue to communicate with us through those means
- “Hybrid” public meetings will allow Council/Commission members, staff and the public to be present at City Hall or join a meeting remotely.
City Events and Programs
City staff continue to evaluate how to best offer programming that is fun, engaging and safe. Keep an eye on the City’s calendar to view upcoming events.
