Recycling Mythbusters
What really happens to recyclables after they leave the curb? Should the cap on the pop bottle stay on or off? Hear the facts on "10 Common Recycling Myths," and get the inside scoop on new technology in the recycling industry. (Oh -- and for those wondering -- leave the caps on!)

Hurry, hurry, step right up! Grandparents and parents -- are you looking for something fun to do with the kids during spring break? Come on down to the "Grand Ol' Carnival." Carnival games, prizes, open gym, arts and crafts, cookie decorating and more! Sponsored by the City of Burnsville and ISD 191 Community Education.

When: Thursday, March 27 from 1-4 p.m.
Where: Nicollet Junior High, 400 E. 134th St.

Blue Thumb Workshop: Ideas for Native Plant Gardens
Going "blue" is catching on! Residents are invited to attend an introductory Blue Thumb Workshop to see how others in Burnsville have created native gardens, rain gardens and native shoreline stabilization projects that benefit local water quality.
Who: All ages
When: Thursday, April 10 from 6:15-8 p.m.
Where: Burnsville City Hall, 100 Civic Center Parkway

WildflowersTree, Shrub and Plant Sale
The City's annual spring sale for Burnsville residents features a variety of root trees, native shrubs, wildflowers, ferns and grasses.
