What We Do
The office of the City Clerk carries out various statutory duties and maintains communication between the City Council, Boards and Commissions and the public.

City Council Meetings
The City Clerk prepares agenda packets for City Council meetings and maintains a record of all Council proceedings.  To find Council meeting information, go to

The City Clerk administers elections, including accepting filings for City offices, hiring and training election judges, assisting residents with absentee voting, and certifying election results. Click here for more info about ELECTIONS

Proclamation Requests
You may request a proclamation from the City using the Proclamation Request Form.

Administrative Appeal Hearings
If you would like to request an administrative appeal hearing regarding a code violation, re-inspection fee, or corrective license action pursuant to City Code Section 1-4-6, please submit this Appeal Form to the City Clerk's Office within 10 calendar days of receiving notice.  

Data Practices Requests
The Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA) gives everyone the right to look at and request copies of public data that the City of Burnsville maintains. Records may be viewed for free, paper copies may be purchased for 25 cents per page, and electronic copies are available at actual cost.
