Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants
Program information:
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG) were created in 2007 by the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA; Pub. L. No. 110-140). The program was established to give federal grants to local government to reduce energy use and fossil fuel emissions and for improvement in energy efficiency.

Funding Available:
The City of Burnsville has $37,500 for grants to local business provided under the EECBG. The maximum EECBG award will be $1,000 for an energy audit and $7,500 for implementation.

Eligible Applicants:
Eligible applicants for this program are any business located in the City of Burnsville.

Application Instructions:
It is the applicant’s responsibility to be aware of the submission requirements needed to prepare a complete application in accordance with this guide. The application consists of the EECBG program application form including any needed attachments. The applicant shall submit an executed application to Skip Nienhaus, Economic Development Coordinator via email, or mail, City of Burnsville, 100 Civic Center Parkway, Burnsville, MN 55337. Applications will be accepted until all funds have been awarded, or December 31, 2010 The City of Burnsville retains the right to reject in whole or in parts any application for any reason.
