Burnsville's Nondegredation Report
Burnsville's Nondegredation Report
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has selected 30 cities, including Burnsville, and required that they perform an in-depth study (Nondegredation Report) of the changes on pollution and volume of water contained in storm water runoff resulting from development within the city since 1988. The report includes a model that shows the relative change in storm water runoff volume, phosphorous levels, and levels of total suspended solids that appeared in 1988 compared to 2005, and the expectation for runoff in 2020. The Report also demonstrates what past, present and future practices will be reasonably required to return storm water pollutant loading to the 1988 modeled levels, or to minimize the impact of storm water discharges on the receiving waters. The report was submitted to the MPCA on November 1, 2007.
