Invasive Plants
The spread of invasive plant species has become a serious problem in Burnsville. Common Buckthorn is one of the most problematic invasive plants in Burnsville but there are other species that cause problems.

Check your property for the invasive species below, listed by habitat. The links will take you to plant description pages on Minnesota Wildflowers, an online field guide to the flora of Minnesota.  For information on how to control these invasive species, visit the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website.
