Invasive Plant Species
The spread of invasive plant species has become a serious problem in Burnsville. Non-native exotic plants are choking our forests and open spaces and filling up our lakes. The City actively manages invasive plant species to inhibit their spread on public lands. The City needs the help of private land owners in order to successfully stamp out and control problem species. Please refer to the links on the left for information about Burnsville's most problematic invasive upland plant species.
