Dakota County Soil and Water Conservation District

The Dakota Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) provides land and water conservation services -- in the form of technology, funding and educational services -- to owners of private lands.

Managing private lands in a way that promotes a sound economy and sustains and enhances natural resources is key to Minnesota’s environmental health. Dakota SWCD is governed by local leaders and is focused on conservation of local soil and water resources.

Please visit the Dakota SWCD website for more information.

Minnesota Pollution Control Agency

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) helps protect our water by monitoring its quality, setting standards and controlling what may go into it. For more information on how the MPCA protects our water resources, visit their website.
