Nicollet Commons Park

Location

Located at 126th Street and Nicollet Avenue, Nicollet Commons Park is one of the first “town square” style parks to be developed in the metro area suburbs and serves as the focal point in the Heart of the City.

Amenities

The park features spaces for patrons to sit and read a book or have lunch along with an open green area and 250 seat performance amphitheater for concerts and events.

General Park Rules

- Park Hours:   5:00 a.m. - 12:00 Midnight –

•             All pets must be on leashes and owners must pick up after their pets

•             No skateboards or in-line skates may be used in the park

•             No glass containers are allowed anywhere in the park

Rules for Use of the Water Features

- Water Features Closed from 5:00 – 9:00 a.m. Daily for Maintenance -

- Children Must Not Enter the Water Features Without an Adult in Attendance. -

•             Domestic animals are not allowed in or near the water features.

•             Children must not enter the water features without an adult in attendance.

•             All children in diapers must use swim diapers or plastic pants with tight fitting elastic at the legs and waist.  No disposable diapers are allowed in the water.  Diapers should be changed in the public restrooms provided at the north end of the park.

•             Persons with (or suspected of having) an infection or a communicable disease that can be transmitted through the water are prohibited from using, or working with the water features.

•             No running or rough play in and around the water features.

•             Glassware and similar materials with a tendency to shatter on impact are not allowed in the water.

WARNING - NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY

                             
Generally, the water features at Nicollet Commons Park are started up for the summer around May 15th , weather permitting. The water features are shut down for the season during the first week of October. Exact dates vary from year to year.
