Overview
Travelers Trail is planned for a 2018 street rehabilitation being done in conjunction with other Heart of the City improvements.  This street rehabilitation project consists of spot curb repair, milling the top two inches of pavement, and placing a two-inch asphalt overlay.  The other Heart of the City improvements include lighting, on street parking, and sidewalk on Travelers Trail from Pleasant Avenue to Nicollet Avenue.

Updates

September 18, 2018
The contractor is working on parking stall installation on Travelers Trail east of Pleasant Avenue.  Street lighting and electric car charging station installation will take place in the next few weeks.  Street rehabilitation work on Travelers Trail west of Pillsbury Avenue is tentatively scheduled to start the week of 10/8/18.

September 4, 2018
The project is scheduled to start Wednesday 9/5/18 with removals in all project areas.  Most of the initial work will be focused on the new sidewalk and parking areas on Travelers Trail from Pleasant Avenue to Nicollet Avenue.  Please refer to the Project Status Interactive Map for additional details during construction.

August 23, 2018
A construction contract was awarded to McNamara Contracting for this project at the August 5, 2018 City Council Meeting.  An estimated start date is not yet available but construction will not start until some time after Labor Day (9/3/18).  A start date will be posted on this site when available.

July 2, 2018
Bids for the project will be received on Tuesday 7/31/18.  The contract is scheduled for award at the 8/6/18 City Council Meeting.  Construction is anticipated to start late August or early September 2018.
