September 6, 2017
Special assessments for the project were approved by the City Council at their meeting on September 5, 2017.  Assessment costs and payment information is available in the letters sent on August 18, 2017.  Property owners wishing to pay their special assessments in-full for the street work are reminded that payment is due no later than Tuesday, October 31, 2017.  Credit card payments are not accepted for special assessments.  Questions regarding assessment payoff amounts or deferrals may be directed to Molly Stone at 952-895-4495, or

May 26, 2017

Due to the improved weather the Contractor moved up the schedule for paving.  The final layer of paving is being completed today (5/26/17).

May 18, 2017

Due to weather the Contractor has rescheduled placement of the final layer of asphalt to the week of 5/29/17.

May 10, 2017
The Contractor is performing grading and base construction.  The Contractor is scheduled to place the first layer of asphalt on Thursday (5/11/17).  The Contractor is scheduled to place the final layer of asphalt during the week of 5/22/17.

Construction work is very weather-dependent so this schedule may shift due to rain and/or cold temperatures.

May 4, 2017
The Contractor will begin reclaiming the streets within the Crosstown Estates Area Monday (5/8/17).  Grading will occur later in the week.

April 27, 2017
Crews continue to complete spot curb & gutter removal and replacement. Crews will also be working on utility structure adjustments throughout the project area. 

April 19, 2017
The City has awarded a contract to McNamara Contracting, Inc. for the street improvements in the Crosstown Estates 2ndAddition neighborhood as a part of the City’s 2017 Street Reclamation Project.

A neighborhood meeting is being held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 3:30 to 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers at Burnsville City Hall for property owners interested in learning more about this project. A formal letter explaining the project and providing notification of the neighborhood meeting was recently mailed to property owners.

City staff completed a preconstruction meeting with representatives from McNamara Contracting, Inc. and private utility companies. At this meeting, the project schedule was discussed. McNamara Contracting plans to start work in the Crosstown Estates area on Wednesday, April 26
thWork within the Crosstown Estates neighborhood is expected to be complete by the end of May. Construction activities are very weather dependent so the Contractor’s schedule may change due to weather.

A neighborhood meeting is being held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 3:30 to 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers at Burnsville City Hall for property owners interested in learning more about this project. 

A formal letter explaining the project and providing notification of the neighborhood meeting was recently mailed to property owners, and a copy of the letter with the project area map and contacts for City staff can be viewed by clicking the link below:
