Skateboarding Camps & Clinics

Young skateboarders of all experience levels can learn new tricks and master their riding skills. Participants are asked to bring their own skateboard, or call 952-895-4514 if they need a loaner. Helmets and safety pads are strongly recommended. Events are sponsored and instructors are provided by Zombie Boardshop.

All events are held at the Burnsville Skate Park.

Skateboard & Scooter Camp - June 27-30 & July 18-21, 2-16
Skaters are invited to join the fun as they continue to master their riding skills while exploring other skate parks in the area. The camp will meet at the Burnsville Skate Park and take a bus to a different skate park each day. Participants should bring a bag lunch, skateboard, helmet, water bottle and any other pads they choose to wear.
           
Ages: 8-14
Cost: $65/session (each session includes four days)

First Time Skateboard Clinic - Aug. 6 & 13; Aug. 20 & 27, 2016
Start shredding! Youth interested in learning how to skateboard will be shown how to choose their stance, turn, push and build healthy confidence on their wheels. Young riders will also be taught skate park etiquette, safety and board fundamentals. 

Ages: 10 and under
Cost: $30/session (each session includes two lessons)

Shred the Park I - Sept. 7 - 28, 2016
This class is for skateboarders looking to amp up their skating skills. Skaters can set and reach goals while continuing to build confidence on their board. Instruction will include work on proper foot placement and the basics of grinds, catching air, slides and plants – as well as an introduction to pumping, carving, kick turns and dropping into ramps safely.

Shred the Park II - Sept. 7 - 28, 2016
Skaters ready to catch some big air will be taught to master their riding skills while working on rolling ollies, kick flips, axle stalls, pop shuvits and more. Instruction will also include balance and control while working on small launch ramps and grinding rails.
