Fall Recreation Opportunities
This fall/winter, Burnsville residents of all ages are invited to participate in a variety of new events to help ease the cold-weather blues.
Emergency Preparation Workshop
Where would you go, and what would you do during a disaster? Who sets off the tornado sirens? What do they mean? If you have ever been curious about how emergency responders prepare to help the community – this workshop is for you!
During the Emergency Preparedness Workshop, you will learn:
How the City plans to respond to major incidents such as floods, tornadoes or terrorism
How you can keep yourself and your family safe during an emergency
Ways to assist Police and Fire during emergencies

Register for Emergency Preparedness Workshop
Youth Hip Hop Dance
Kids ages 10 to 14 are invited to learn funk and hip-hop patterns used by professional dancers. Each class will focus on a different dance technique; breaking down dance patterns into easy-to-learn sections; and working as a team to create dance choreography. The last day will serve as a performance day for family and friends.

Halloween Events Oct. 26 and 28
The weekend before Halloween, Burnsville will offer two free ghostly fun community get-togethers. Both events are designed to give families easy ways to have some Halloween fun without being too scary.

The leaves may be changing colors, but golfers don’t need to put away their clubs just yet. Birnamwood Golf Course is offering special fall rates to keep golfers “in the swing of things” all autumn long.
