Last week, crews completed pavement reclamation in the West Preserve Area cul-de-sac's, and along 137-1/2 St.  Crews installed watermain valves in Iris Circle and Moccasin Court on Monday, May 13th, and are continuing with storm sewer upgrades and road subgrade excavation work.  Crews are removing poor soil material under the reclaim work, and replacing the reclaimed material to maintain an adequate driving surface.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 15th, crews will begin removing and replacing settled, broken, and cracked curb within each cul-de-sac and along 137-1/2 St.  Curb work may impact driveway access.  If your driveway access is to be restricted to replace curb, the contractor will notify you in person, or leave a flyer in your front door, requesting that you move any vehicles you may need to use out of your garage/driveway and park on the street until the curb is installed and cured.  Curb curing usually takes three or four days.  Please check your front doors for notification of limited driveway access.  Once curb is cured, the contractor will remove any caution tape and construction barricades, and create a temporay ramp to allow you to resume the use of your driveway.

Cul-De-Sac work set to begin May 8th!  Crews will begin potholing for utilities and begin pavement reclamation work in cul-de-sac's along West Preserve Boulevard beginning on May 8th.  Reclamation work will include grinding up the existing asphalt pavement, and then compacting the material in-place.  Residents will be able to drive on the compacted material.  Watermain work within Iris Circle and Moccasin Court is scheduled to occur on Monday, May 13th.  Residents will be notified if your water service will be interrupted. Not all residents will be impacted by this watermain work. Please check your front doors daily for receipt of these notices.

On April 23rd, letters were mailed to all property owners informing them of a Neighborhood Meeting to be held on Monday, May 6th from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM in the Lower Level Community Room at Burnsville City Hall.  City staff will be available to answer questions regarding construction schedules, proposed assessments, and any other general property owner inquiries.

The City awarded a contract to Valley Paving, Inc. to perform the street reconstruction work within the West Preserve Area neighborhood.  City staff have begun marking curb removals, and Valley Paving anticipates beginning work with watermain valve installations and utility structure modifications after May 8th. This work will require short-term water shutdowns (approximately 4-hours) in order to complete the work.  Contracting crews will distribute flyers notifying you if your water service will be interrupted.   Not all residents will be impacted by this utility work.  Please check your front doors daily for receipt of these notices.
