Television Production Classes
Public Access Training
Have you ever thought about creating your own television program? How about just getting familiar with a video camera and learning to compose great shots? Burnsville Community Television (BCTV) is now offering classes for television production. Classes will be held at the BCTV studio, located in room C214 on the second floor of the Burnsville High School, 600 Highway 13 East.

By completing the coursework, residents will be able to utilize BCTV equipment and facilities to produce programming for
BCTV channels 14 and 16 at no charge, and have the opportunity to assist in BCTV productions.

Students of District 191 are eligible to attend BCTV classes for free. Please contact

Employees of Burnsville-located non-profit organizations are eligible to attend BCTV classes to create programming for the non-profit. Please contact

Orientation:
Learn about Burnsville Community Television! BCTV staff will give you a tour and discuss all we have to offer. This class is a pre-requisite for all other classes.

Studio Production:

Learn basic television production skills with hands on training of studio cameras, audio board and the multi-camera switcher. The class will produce a studio promotion to air on BCTV Channel 14.

Portable Camera Equipment:
The class will learn how to record quality video and audio on the newest technology. Exciting hands on training with the equipment will enable the class to start shooting right away to create a class project.

Non-Linear Editing:
Learn how to edit your show digitally!  Using Final Cut Pro X, the class will import video and audio, add graphics and music and export a finished promo to air on Channel 14.
