Do You Want to Build a Rain Garden?
Dakota County residents are again invited to the popular “Landscaping for Clean Water Workshop.” This workshop provides tips on creating native gardens, rain gardens and shoreline stabilization projects that benefit local water quality and pollinators.
Burnsville State of the City Address Feb. 22
Burnsville residents, business leaders and others interested in learning more about the current state of affairs and future of Burnsville are invited to the annual State of the City Address. The keynote speech will be given by Mayor Elizabeth Kautz.
Spring Road Weight Restrictions in Effect
As of Feb. 17, spring weight restrictions for commercial vehicles on City streets are in effect. These restrictions are part of a statewide effort to protect roadways during vulnerable spring months. Limits will likely remain in effect for eight weeks.
Minnesota State Law requires that the three highest paid positions be posted
annually for the City of Burnsville. Effective January 3, 2017: City Manager - $162,434; Public Works Director - $141,874; and Police Chief and Fire Chief - $140,411.
