    These sessions are for hockey skaters of any age to come and skate with sticks & pucks! Come work on your skating skills, drills & stick handling. All equipment is required for any skater 17 & under. Helmets are required for any skater 18 & older. Scrimmages, games, & lessons are not allowed at any time.

    Kids of Summer and Camp X-Treme are playground programs that provide weekly summer fun. The programs are held four days a week, and include activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, carnivals, water games, field trips and special events – including visits from the water truck, critter guy, puppet wagon and storytellers. Registered participants are welcome to come as often as they like. Day passes ($5) and weekly passes ($15) can be purchased through park leaders at all sites.   1. Thursday Rockin' Lunch Hour

    June 30, 11:15 AM - 1:00 PM @ Nicollet Commons Park

    Mid-day performances are back for a sixth season, running throughout the summer. These mini-concerts are geared toward preschool-aged audiences looking for a rockin’ good time. Join District 191’s elementary principals and staff prior to Thursday concerts as they read books to kids. Come at 11:15 a.m. and look for the rocking chair.

  1. Skateboard Camp & Scooter Camp -- Session 1

    June 30, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM @ Skate Park

    Skaters and scooter riders are invited to master their riding skills while exploring other skate parks in the area. The camp will meet at the Burnsville Skate Park and take a bus to a different skate park each day. Breakout sessions will allow participants to get instruction specific to skateboards or scooters. Participants should bring a bag lunch, skateboard or scooter, helmet, water bottle and any other pads they choose to wear. Ages: 8 – 14

    QuickStart Tennis is an exciting format for learning the game, with the court, balls, scoring system and height of the net all tailored to a child’s age and size. The program is designed to help children find success from the very first swing. Start times vary depending on age group. **NOTE: Fridays are designated as make-up days for classes that may be canceled due to inclement weather.

  3. Preschool Soccer -- Session 1

    Preschool soccer helps children develop a lifelong love of the game while learning skills and how to play on a team. All-inclusive games will teach kids the basics of soccer, such as dribbling, passing, trapping and handling the ball. They’ll also be introduced to control and footwork techniques, as well as daily fundamental drills and exercises. The program also helps instill the values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Ages: 4 – 6
