    These sessions are for hockey skaters of any age to come and skate with sticks & pucks! Come work on your skating skills, drills & stick handling. All equipment is required for any skater 17 & under. Helmets are required for any skater 18 & older. Scrimmages, games, & lessons are not allowed at any time.

    Kids of Summer and Camp X-Treme are playground programs that provide weekly summer fun. The programs are held four days a week, and include activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, carnivals, water games, field trips and special events – including visits from the water truck, critter guy, puppet wagon and storytellers. Registered participants are welcome to come as often as they like. Day passes ($5) and weekly passes ($15) can be purchased through park leaders at all sites.   1. Thursday Rockin' Lunch Hour

    Mid-day performances are back for a sixth season, running throughout the summer. These mini-concerts are geared toward preschool-aged audiences looking for a rockin’ good time. Join District 191’s elementary principals and staff prior to Thursday concerts as they read books to kids. Come at 11:15 a.m. and look for the rocking chair.

    To help the many dedicated residents removing buckthorn, the City will open its compost site (for buckthorn disposal only) the last weekend of every month June through September. The compost site will also be open for buckthorn every weekend in October.

    Preschool soccer helps children develop a lifelong love of the game while learning skills and how to play on a team. All-inclusive games will teach kids the basics of soccer, such as dribbling, passing, trapping and handling the ball. They’ll also be introduced to control and footwork techniques, as well as daily fundamental drills and exercises. The program also helps instill the values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Ages: 4 – 6
